2/26/08 On a related note to Lori's upcoming project GRISHA,
the producers of GRISHA won an Academy Award on Sunday for "Best documentary" for a film by Alex Gibney
titled: Taxi to the Dark Side. Lori is a big supporter of this film.
2/15/08 Lori is currently in the process of bringing the story
of cellist Gregor Piatigorsky to the big screen, based on the book titled: GRISHA. I don't
have any dates yet of when this might be finished, but I'll let everyone know as soon as I get more information.
1/23/08 I had the privilege of being able to attend the concert mentioned below, and Lori's
performance was flawless! Up until now I had only heard her play from the movie Shortcuts, but in person she is so much better. A true artist. Don't get me wrong,
the entire concert was excellent and I enjoyed everyone's performance, but of course my favorite was Lori. Hopefully there will be more
venues in the furture...Kai
12/24/07 Lori will be performing with the Distinguised Concerts International New York
on January 21st, 2008 at Carnegie Hall's World Premiere of Composer Karl Jenkins "Hymn." This concert will feature
cellist Lori Singer, narration by Walter Cronkite and will be conducted by Jonathan Griffith.
8/23/07 On Saturday, August the 18th, Lori participated in the
